Discussion about the new TOP S4,
These have been released in Some markets (Australia yes) but it is up to local Distributors whether they will or not,
Originally designed as a mid spec kit for Asian Market (China) only, it is priced a bit lower than the Photon EX,
it is not a replacement for the EX.
most of the spares are interchangeable with the EX, (Arms, Knuckles, C-hubs, Shocks, Swaybars, diffs, rear belt, uni's)
some key things to note are that the front and rear Bulkhead design are from the TOP Scythe,
The front belt is shorter than the EX and is the same as the Original Photon, (rear is same)
RRP is around USD$290 (AUD$315)

Waiting for our S4 to arrive here in Singapore. 2014 campaign start in March.

This could be a cool budget car.

Hello there,
My S4 arrived on Saturday, and I had to build it quickly at the track, so as to prepare for Monday's night race.
As a result, I was not able to make a presentation like the one for the photon ex.
Nevertheless, you can find some words and photos of the car ready to race in my blog: rcdim.blogspot.gr
The car is awesome, and in my opinion is of equal or even better quality than the photon ex. I don't think its a bdget car, but I find it too cheap for its high quality, fit, and performance.

We had two night races during the week, sweep challenge on Monday, and yokomo cup on Wednesday. Both were held on carpet track. I TQed and won both, with best lap both times.
If I find the time, I am going to clean and rebuild it on Saturday, so as to check if there is any kind of wear.
I will let you all know.

It's funny to look at that car in 2014 because the DNA is so obviously Scythe rather than Photon. I always preferred the Scythe to the Photon and I'm not surprised it is going well for you, the Scythe was ahead of its time and that S4 looks almost identical to mt brand new TRF418!

It looks like a Spec R Pro Spec with a Yokomo bumper.

Has anyone tried measuring the rear toe on the set up system? 2 of our car visually seem to have more toe on one side.

Photon ex difference was way bigger and i had to use 1mm shim on one side. Sabre has the same problem but with little difference, like 0.3-0.5 degrees difference. You shouldnt worry, its not a real problem and you wont have a problem when running it.

Strangely enough I had the rear toe issue with the top deck that came with my EX, but when I replaced my lower deck for a new one the problem no longer existed... Can't wait to get my S4 in the next few weeks

Hey guys, would anyone recommend any optional parts when purchasing this kit or some handy spares to grab to start with? Really liking this chassis and thinking of buying it.
