I'm coming from Autoscor to RC Scoring Pro. I love it. There are a few things that would be great, like an explination of some of the stuff but most of it is very straight forward. Our local onroad club uses one system from a local guy. I really don't like it. It's very hard to use. I might take our copy (the offroad club) to the onroad guys for a race or two and let them see what they're really missing.

The best part about RC Scoring Pro is that he gives you his cell number right on the computer screen. If you have a problem, call him up. He'll walk you through the problem (which there really shouldn't be any). And if he can't walk you through it, you'll have a patch emailed to you. Or if you have a special race parameter in mind, he'll help you out.

Well thanks guys! I am hanging out at the IIC race in Las Vegas. If you ever see the guys that write the other software packages at a race let me know!

Any body that has truly spent some time with any of the systems knows that RC scoring pro is hands down the best. With autoscore coming in second.

Thumbs up

RC Scoring Pro

Doug has been Incredible!

Anytime I have had a little problem he has addressed it quickly and made the changes into the program.

Customer service... he places his Cell Phone number into the program.
If you have a question call him.

We have been using RCSP for 18 months, it keeps getting better.

With the autostart function it will run itself!

Don't waste the time, and "Headache" with any other program.

Well, I have seen several other software developers at various meetings here...I have NEVER seen this RC Scoring guy at any of our meetings, I don't think that is important but it seems so to some. Oh hang on, these guys are American, the world stops at the US border. Heyd, FaiLip, maybe if you buy this software, he will come to a meeting of yours in Kiwiland!

We went thorugh this a while back:
don't get too hung up on what others say, it has to be right for your track and your meetings
most (all?) allow you to download a demo and try so do so (if they don't, you have to wonder why not?)
some even allow you to run small meetings to try it out (again, if they don't, you have to wonder why not?)
if you are planning for the future, and given most (all?) laptops are now coming without serial ports, make sure the software supports USB, most do but a few don't

The Lap Free software have been great to us, had 2 meeting now, no hick up at all. Almost self run and its so user friendly. And probably most important, its free, great for club like us that are starting out and have limited budget.
