I'd probably goto a 1/8th ESC on that setup, something like a Tekin RX8 for example - you'll never blow that up on 3s

+ ONE ON THAT.... Orion r10 is a beast. I have tried Tekin "new" and burnt that damn thing. Purchased the r10 "used" and haven't had any issues. Speedo is a rock star

+1 on Orion R10. It might be expensive, but we'll worth the money and reliability. I believe the R10 stock can handle 3 S as well you just can add esc timing.

Thanks for the advice guys. It is also to run an off road monter truck. Or whats the best combo to run in this. I was thinking a hobby wing combo thatll run 3s. But i want to do it safely with out over heating the damn esc.

I would go Castle Mamba Monster.
I had 2 TX8 both went bad in 3 months.
I have 3 mambas over 2yrs old. Castle also has the best warranty.

Isn't the Orion R10 just a Hobbywing speedy with a fancy name on it though? Or just the same factory and zero shared components?
