Marc just post a video of the race track in Florida. That thing is crazy big, and with that being said, yokomo, tamiya, Xray, and AE will be in the top. I didn't see hara whats going on with that?

Awesomatix doesn't need to win worlds to change the game. When the other manufacturers are calling it a "cheater car," you know it has their attention.

Worlds is purely entertainment. Everybody knows the equipment used doesn't matter. Tamiya has won like the last 3 and that car is a joke. Nobody sane outside the team runs it these days. It's all Yokomo, XRay and Awesomatix. The rest are just for show.

+1

PS Tamiya car was junk are you kidding!!

If it was junk it wouldn't have won or even been competitve.

I now what you can do is very controlled, but Ronald and Naoto both open with a sub 14 then put in a 14.0 on lap 2, then drop to everybody else's speed.
From George Martinez on the other thread;

Tires are the same you can reuse them
Your just gonna have to make extra trips since we will keep all the tires in impound no tires will be allowed in the pits during the race
During practice you will decide how many sets you will check in pit
The target is 6 qualifiers plus triple A
Mod class we will be using the new Ifmar rule 3 min to sauce tires no tire Warmers allowed
17.5 sauce away
So the Mod drivers are all running to the same rules on additive with no warmers.

.
The Awsomatix is a great car and it has some very clever design features but it is not a "game changer" shaft drive v belt drive has been done to death, both have advantages and the new FFG may have removed one of the disadvantages of the shaft but still not enough for me to put a shaft on my "design a fantasy car" wish list. The engineering is outstanding on the Awsomatics but with the exception of the dampers that are revolutionary (literally) every thing else has been done before and there are still too many things that I don't like about it for me buy another at a price of nearly twice that of other high end cars.

Will it show well at the worlds? I hope so, will it make all the other manufactures run away to their design boards? I doubt it and hope not, I enjoy racing more than fiddling with my car on the setup station or beach combing the track looking for bits that have pinged off.

That made me chuckle too. I'm a little biased, but hell, 5 worlds champs are not a fluke and pretty much ever car that has one a major event has been released to the public as well - not one offs that you can only get by being a team driver.

The 418 is sold out pretty much all over Asia and hard to get everywhere else. Must be lots of shelf queens out there

Doesn't mean they haven't thought of something. I don't know what. Don't forget they have experience of mastering controlled additive from ETS.

So far it looks like Yokomo has this Worlds in the bag. After 3 rounds of qualifying, the top 10 drivers are:

Having this event in the bag ≠ worlds in the bag.

Plenty of time.

So how does this tire rule work? I any type of motorsports fresh tires are king! I feel like the Durango has more to offer. But after watch i do see fast lap is within the first 5 laps. So after that it comes down to chassis, set-up and driver.

Yep Kiyo comes out, and suddenly they don't look too crappy anymore lol.

Huh, no cheater cars? Ah wait, i read somewhere that this is how they change the game.

It is also pretty striking that all US cream of the crop is nowhere to be found.

I think team USA are day dreaming about trying to work out if they can convert the track to dirt in time for the worlds and it's too distracting

Is that particularly surprising? I believe Mod TC is far more popular in Europe and Asia.
