Default which is the fastest 23-turn motor???

hey guys! just wanted to hear your views on which is which and why... i'm talkin about 23-turn motors i have tried the Team Orion Katana SS and it is okay... but we have a race this weekend and some new motors are available like ARD (Alex Racing LR-T), Kawada(w/ a fan inside), Tamiya hmmm

I imagine most of them run about the same! It's a SPEC motor, so all brands are built to highly-restrictive standards. The idea is to have them all run close to the same, so you have close racing. However, I bet the FASTEST motor is the one you tune and tweak yourself, keeping it clean and well-maintained.

Get yourself a tamiya type RR motor 23 turn. These things are quick.

What is the timing of Tamiya 23 type RRs? Do you gear them like you would for a regular 24 deg stock motor i.e. trinity monster motor, etc.

20 deg.
gearing should be around 6.0 and go up or down depending on your track size.
