Default Olly Jefferies Joins Xray

Good, that's another good driver in the Xray team

On an unrelated note, Associated are now going to be all but gone in the UK as he was the main team driver and almost everyone else had already abandoned ship.

Associated's loss is X-Rays gain there. A top driver and that will help them in the 2014 worlds

I saw that he has a "factory" drive, what does that mean and does that mean he no longer has a day job? Its kind of hard to believe there is enough money is RC racing for people to be properly professional drivers! Good on anyone who is though

I think it just means he is supported and his contract is with Xray direct and not through one of their distributors (RCdisco in the UK)

a full factory drive means he pays for nothing and gets full support from xray and gets flown to all the big events,an a drive b drive etc just means discount on parts

So he still have to have a normal job to make living. Right?
Wonder what's going on AE.

Most of the well known A finalists at the big events are professional RC drivers, Rheinard, Volker, Hagberg, Lemieux are the names that immediately spring to mind, but there are quite a few more, and that's just in TC's

I'm not sure what Olly does outside of RC

I guess Xray's offer was really awesome, because I would think he would have been ready for the TC6.2 Associated still has Kevin, Juno, Rick and Mike. I hate to loose Ollie because he would have been a beast with the new car I bet.

Olly had enough of associated after they gave him and others a complete crap prototype of the tc6.2 didnt listen to his opinions and then several months later magically appears the tc6.2 with all the things he originally wanted, he and others felt associated on the UK side of things were deserted so he decided to move on.

xray could afford him and made sense to move there

That's cool. Hopefully he doesn't like cars that turn.

I can see that as a real reason for a pro to leave. It did take the A team a while to become a little more main stream with the other TC 's out. I don't know if that has anything to do with Thunder Tiger or what but they have a really good car now.
