HI Everyone,

As you can see we have made the choice for the 2014 Reedy Race tire. We will be running the Sweep EXP36 Evo-R. We had many companies support the testing of the Reedy Race and I thank them all for sending us samples to test. In the end we decided that the Sweep was the best fit for this years Reedy Race.

All tires for the Reedy Race event will be made from 1 batch. I know this can be a concern for some racers so I want to let everyone know that all the tires including practice tires used at the race will all be from the same production batch.

According to Sweep, The EXP36 will be available very soon from their website.

We thank you all for your patience as we determined the Spec tire for the event.

Please let us know if you have any questions at all, emailing me is always the best way if you need to reach me.

Thank you very much,
Scotty

Hi Everyone

Looking forward to a great event this year.
Reminder
RC Sign Up shows the event is full but we still have some open spots left.
I think we have 4 slots left in Open Mod and 15-20 in 13.5t. If anyone is interested they should email Scotty directly to get added.

Sorry if I missed it but what is the deal with tire sauce? Is it open or spec and for those of us traveling will it be available at the event for sale or handout?

Thanks!

For invite class it will be controlled.
We have not determined for sure what we are using.
When we tire tested we used FX2 which worked ok, we will try a couple of others to see if they are better. Not sure what the status of on site hobby supplies will be.

Any sauce is allowed in the open classes as are tire warmers.

Ouch this is almost like allowing open tire. It would be nice if there was a spec sauce as well.

If this helps, I've heard locally that some guys have been using Trinity Tire Tweak.

Tire tweak with warmers is the best option.
