Default help with lrp x20 17.5

hi all,if you run an lrp motor can you share your timing and gearing,
up against the team wave eclipse motors im losing 10ft on the straight but i had the handling to have made the top three in the wet today but ended up
9th due to the slow top speed,today i had gearing of 3.23 with 37.5 timing,ive since gone to 32.5 timing and im going to start with the same gearing and go to a lower fdr from there if thats the way to go,ive heard of some running 3.6 but for me that was even slower on the 80ft straight
any help apreciated

Funny because I think the X20 is faster than the team wave. 37.5 FDR 4.16

You probably need new lipos and speedo. Welcome to the world of blinky where you spend three times the money to go half the speed. Its the stupidest class ever

You spend three times the money because of FEAR, not FACT.... You only need to buy a Novak once to be ahead of the Field, as long as your battery/charger is good.....

Hmm i keep hearing people talk about good chargers but what exactly does this mean? evidence please!!

Seems like too much gear and timing for that size track

Start with 27.5 & 3.5
My experience with the X20 in pan cars, showed that motor likes to spin up more to make power

If the track is open and flowing you can use more timing, but if it's tight, less timing is key

Have you tested your lipos ?
If the car starts well and fades, more of a battery issue perhaps
If slow all the way, then for sure motor setup

thanks guys much appreciated,im going to go back to 3.6 and run along side my son,same esc same motor,i for some reason thought i had given his car 3.22,doh! it was 3.41 and his car was as quick on the straight as the others so it looks like 3.6 /3.8 is the way to go as his isnt the fastest on the infield,so with the higher fdr it should have a bit more punch
