Socal is great, in HB. Then there's Ultimate Hobbies not too far away in the city of Orange on Katella, and then there's Speedtech r/c in Walnut. All good stores. Just stay away from Hobby People, if you don't and decide to go you will understand why I say this.

yeah, stay away from hobby people, they dont know what they have in the store and what they do have is crap at high prices. speedtech is my number one choice for my rc needs and steve there is a very helpful guy with a huge inventory. i have also used speedshop .

Yeah I dont know what happened to HobbyPeople.They used to be a great store when they were Hobby Shack.Now they are all Corporate and all they sell is their own stuff.They pretty much suck now!!!
