Actually I'm looking for a standard 17T motor.

Not a V type brushes ... as far as I know Big Jim was not doing PT armatures for these type of motors ...

Power Trix is owned by me.....I allowed Jim to sell the the units. They are not diodes.

They were never available on stock motors.

You can email me direct if you are interested in a Power Trix arm.

Interesting ... Big Jim was speaking of these armature as his own production in his forum ... I was little bit afraid on investing 60$ for an armature ... but now I think it would not have been a bad investement.

What the 3 little element in the comm ?
For me only diode or shotky diode make sense there ...

Thanks

Big Jim worked for me.....during his consulting for my company, he came up with the Power Trix(he named it.....it just kinda stuck)....

It takes over an hour per arm to install the devices....so $60 isn't much of stretch. I only charge $55 an arm, but there is about a 3-4 week wait for them.

As for the devices....they are not diodes....but I am not willing to disclose what they are.

They do give more runtime, less comm wear, better braking, longer brush life and smoother throttle response.

The book is solid for any novice or veteran racer......

Last I remember, Todd Putnam himself has a copy.......not sure about Kisbey....lots of the top motors guys do....information is information, even if it is repetitive....

Amazing how people can still rip on a guy just a few weeks after his death....

True. A much simpler answer would have probably satisfied the question. Some people say I tell people how the watch was made every time someone asks me for the time of day.

But the simplest answer usually just brings on more questions. If one knows the why behind the answer, the principle behind the topic and the evolution behind the theory, then one can think for himslf the next time questions occur.

It's a lot like that old saying, "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach the man how to fish and he feeds himself for the rest of his life".

Consider this forum "Fishing Lessons!"

Big Jim... R.I.P......Lives on

Hmmm, I have one of those diode/resistors stock motors, but I got it from another motor builder!
