I got a yokomo touring car off someone in a trade and im wondering what model is it and is it any good???
I plan on getting into competitive racing and its got a reedy pt 9t mod, associated no turn limit esc, hitec servo, and im gonna get an hpi saddle evo 3 6 cell pack.

think itl be a good setup?

This is a MR4TC. It was very good in its time. The car/design is about 5 years old, but will still be competitive for you..

ridealot100 07-12-2005 02:32 PM

LOL so its that old  haha
it looks alot like the yokomo buggy, is it convertable to that?

ridealot100 07-12-2005 02:34 PM

Oh and do you know if the chassis is graphite? Or is this just an all plastic car.
like is it gonna wiegh alot?

raving-monkey 07-12-2005 02:35 PM

they used the same chassis, diffs etc i think...it is convertable but it takes a lot of parts and is fairly expensive.

ridealot100 07-12-2005 02:37 PM

sry for all the questions but.

- are the diffs gear or ball
- is it graphite
- is there any flaws i should worry about

*Ball Diffs
*Car is Plastic
*Only problem i can think of is weight, but untill you become competative yourself the car will be fine.

Sure there must be some lightened chassis upgrades for it somewhere.

The car is actually an MR4-TC PRO. The pro model had many upgrades from the first version. The car was VERY competitive in its time, maybe the best car out. ;)

Actually the chassis could be graphite...without seeing a close up pic, its hard to tell...

The Pro came with the upgraded chassis, so it might be graphite...Does the chassis have a grey-ish tint to it??? If so, then its most likely graphite

If you plan on racing on carpet or high grip asphault you'll need a new upper deck, looks like the previous owner raced on a low grip track and cut most of the supports out of the upper deck.
