Default Any other tracks still running mod foam tire TC?

At my local indoor carpet track here in Idaho the biggest class is mod foam tire TC. We get an awesome/competitive turnout in this class. I know now its kinda old school but what I'm wondering is are we the last indoor track in America still running a foam tire mod class for TC?

So has Foam tires for TC pretty much been eliminated now?

I would imagine still Nitro TC is running foams outdoors on asphalt.

This is Incorrect. Nitro Sedan started on rubber tires. But perform better on foam.

I race with the OP in Idaho present day. Since he started this thread, the mod foam class died off.

17.5 with Sweep 28's is the fastest class now.

Wow, now that's quite a come down in handling and speed lol

Why does no-one race Mod rubber tyre instead if Mod was popular?

So I guess no hope for selling my TRF415 with the thick 4mm chassis + extra 4mm one in pkg for foam racing. The car was never used since when I switched the chassis on there about 6 or 7 years ago.

Our local club still races foam tired stock touring. There are electric specific foam tires still made. But only very few companies unlike in the past. Different width tires really just depends on driver preference.

I don't know, a friend runs an old foam spec Xray in 17.5 with rubber tires and it is dialed. I think he did go to a later thin top deck but that's about it.

I think foam tire TC might be more popular if there was a spec tire like WGT. Biggest thing that killed off foam tires was pink compound one run tires. Unless you were getting your tires for free from a sponsorship, no one could afford to run them. With modern TC chassis optimized to run lower grip rubber tires, a harder spec foam tire like plaid and purples would probably work good, and you could get a month of running out of one set, like back in the Golden Age of TC when the TC3 was the hot chassis.
