In my opinion, it really boils down to personal preference. With all the new kits that came out last year till present and kits coming out next year, they all seem to mimic each other with the exception of Schumacher. Its pretty much asking for a cupcake with or without sprinkles.

The mi5 is dialed out of the box, especially on low/medium carpet

Only minor changes is necessary to get the car suited to your likings

it depnds on how much durability you want, the mi5 has its weak points, ive seen a few come to a halt with fairly light hits, the xray it as tough as they come,im sure it could be run offroad, lol
ive hammered a t4 and the newer 14 and i havent broken one part,i do seem to kill bearings quickly though
also what surface your on,on carpet the mi5 is on top but on ashphalt the t4 seems more popular

Both are fine kits, though I do agree that the xray is more durable.

Haven't broken anything on my Xray since racing it in February. I have finally started to wear the stock plastic spool cups and my front CVDs need to be rebuilt but thats about it.

Xray is tough as a tank. The reason most Xray rollers for sale come with alot of new parts still in package is because you'll buy them just in case you break, but rarely ever do.

Dude I've watched guys at my LHS hammer their T4 and it keeps going! I wish I got one instead of the H4. T4 all the way!

You cannot go wrong with either one, if those were my only two choices I would go with the T414. I did a search in the for sale section and their are a lot of MI5's for sale and only one T414 as of today, so if you want an MI5 now is the time to get one for a good deal. Make's you wonder why so many MI5's are for sale though!

I went for the Mi5 and am very happy with it. I also have a VBC Wildfire D06 on the way and all reports are extremely good on this car. So many good cars out there now but Xray is a no risk choice.

If I were you I would get a T4 simply because it might share parts with your T3. It can save you lots of trouble.

But if they don't share parts, I would recommend the Yokomo BD7 2014 or the Mi5. Get Yokomo's because they are just fast cars and they don't break like they do before. I drive a BD7 and a BD5, and they both do very well especially the BD7.

I don't know much about the Mi5. There are a few at our track and they are FAST out of the box.
