Which truer adapter to use for 12th scale?

Hey guys! I"m sorry if this has already been asked but I couldnt find anything. I have a CRC XL 12th scale car that has hex rear wheels and bearing front wheels. Do I need to get 2 different truer adapters or is there just one that will work with both wheels? Thanks for any help.

CRC sells a single truer arbor that will work for all pancar wheels, both 1/12th scale and also WGT. That's a really nice feature.
Hudy also sells really nice arbors although theirs are a little pricey. I've got the Hudy ones. They are super true and accurate. But, with the Hudy, one arbor works just for 1/12th scale wheels (it does both front and back wheels), and there's a different Hudy arbor that does WGT wheels (both front and back). If the CRC arbor was available when I purchased my truer (sadly it wasn't), that's the one that I would have got. At the time, the Hudys were the best. Pricey, but the best.

Awesome. Thanks man. I'll have to look into that. Ideal would be to find a used one.

The Hudy works for both 1/10th and 1/12th scale pan car wheels. That's what I use for both of my CRC cars. I've tried the BMI, 3Racing, CRC, and Hudy arbors...they are all good but the Hudy one is the best. Works even better when you couple them with the Team Tamale adapters to replace the nut side of the arbor.

I use the CRC tire truing arbor, which handles all 1/10th and 1/12 on-road tires. Not as pretty as the Hudy pieces, but gets the job done. Relatively inexpensive too.

Greetings brothainchrist0. I bought an eagle tire truer in 2002 for truing my touring foam tires back then . Two years later, I bought part #1843 to true my pan car tires (initially, 1/10th and then 1/12th scale)-included is an adapter for both. The arbor may be specific to this truer-8mm spindle .Anyway good luck with your search.

If you don't mind ordering through Hong Kong. Look into 3Racing.com. 12scale arbor @ $15 + shipping. Takes about 15-21 days if shipped USPS, UPS or FedEx expensive. Try to shop for it locally.

I know someone else suggest it as well, but it also comes with TC adapter, so you can do nitro shoes as well. Probably be the last arbor you ever buy.

Shawn.

ya, i think that is the one I am going for unless somebody is selling a hudy one cheap. CRC is the goal I think

This is the one that I use. It works great for 12th scale and 10th scale pan car tires.

I strongly suggest picking up a Hudy arbor... and when your time/funds allow, get the Team Tamale adapter for the Hudy arbor. Truest spinning rears you will ever cut.
