Which is better? VFS-1 or 2000? or is the 1 just a newer version...

Yep.

The VFS-1 (Hara version) was the ESC used to win the world title this year, most of the 'A' was actually using QC2's though.

Most of the popular "top of the line" speedcontrolers out there,Keyence, GTX, KO, Quantum2 ,ect.......are more than capable of winning just about any race on any level of competition since a speedcontroler(as long as it's top of the line) isn't usually the highest priority deciding factor, but if you really compare Feature for Feature, not much else compares with the keyence rapida right now......to my knowledge it still has "by far" the lowest on resistance as well as infinite adjustability on every setting possible, and there's also no need to buy external programing devices......

what about novak gt7????

flyingfox 07-08-2005 10:07 PM

for the guys who use GM V12XC, notice that the ESC doesn't heat up as easily as most others. which makes it a good start.

scotty5555 07-08-2005 10:11 PM

ya i love it, i dont have any problems.

brooklynrc 07-08-2005 11:13 PM

I have a GT7 and I really like it. The throttle feels smooth, and I like the preset function on the speedo also.

I have never driven with a Q2 so I don't know but lots of people run it and I really haven't heard any complaints about it.
