I'd go 4 the Pro4 b/c you can get good info from the web, and that car has very good parts quality. A fellow racer had some good advice in that it's probably not a good idea to get a first run of a car. It needs time to strech it's legs and work out the bugs (sorry for the cliches ) I got the Pro 4 about 3 months after it's first run, and I'm glad I did b/c HPI included all of the updated parts and mods that the customers we doing. They also release info and updates about the kit. They even give you forms to fill out and send in if you have a problem with the QC on any of the parts. Not a hassle at all, just fill in what you need and why you need it.

even though i drive a pro4 i think you might be wrong on the drive idea on the tc4. the FT tc4 is mainly the fixes on was was wrong on the tc4. not saying its going to be perfect when it comes out, just saying the FT tc4 is suppose to be a fit on the lil problems the tc4 was seeing. but i like the pro4. your going to like it from the start because people ar going to know how to set it up from teh start where the tc4 is going to take lots of gess work on how to set it up and lots of time trying to find the right setup

i heard you could adjust the chassis thickness just by a few screws on the ft tc4

Is this going to be your first RC car????. If so I would start out with offroad and drive it for like ehhh 3 monthes, and then think about purchasing a onroad car. I did the wrong thing and I got a TC4 and spent tons of $$$ and drove it like crap, and people at the track told me that inorder to drive onroad you need to drive offroad first.
hope this helps
Matt
BTW I am getting the FT TC4 and you should to its going to be a great car. All the AE drivers drive them at the track I go to and they take every car on the track teehhehehe.
hope this helps

BOTH CARS ARE FINE! it all depends on your lhs part support, both cars are very competitve and both drive really well, both cars are known to be user friendly as well. Also neither car will make you fast it's all on how you drive, get the car you feel you want to get. The tc4 is and pro4 are both great cars to choose from.

I can't speak for the "FT TC4" But, you are not comparing Apples to Apples when comparing the TC4 to the PRO 4. Pro 4 Blows the TC4 away. Plan on spending alot of money on upgrades for the TC4 not to mention hours of Drivetrain Work. The PRO 4 has one of the Smoothest Drivetrains, out of the box! I have ever seen. The Pro 4 Shocks are the best on the Market, the Associateds are OK with Yokomo Caps.
