Does the 2018 rear carbon brace (371077) work on the 2017 X1? Just picked up a used 2017 car and it's in great shape except for slight tweak in there rear brace. Part 371075 seems to be on back order everywhere

High Velocity RC on Facebook. You could message the owner to buy his carbon axle spool. The new Roche spool will probably work and less than half the price.

Rapide P12/F1 Carbon Solid Rear Axle Set

The first set sold out fast, Hanulec is getting more in.

The High Velocity RC one is double the price if you need it right away. I got mines in the following config "1/12 axle length, solid, M3 thread for Kimbrough spurs" He makes different configs such as hollow carbon (maybe only for 1/12, not sure how strong for rubber tire pan cars), different spurs other than Kimbrough, and different threads (CRC or metric).

I'm probably just going to get the Roche spool if I need another one.

PSM and Fenix also currently make X1 O-ring battery holder option parts.

anyone using the gear diff on asphalt? what weight oil are you using? I have 5000 in mine and it feels too thick for med grip.

I ran the ball diff on the new 18 car and it felt great.

Thanks.
I ordered the PSM after looking at both. The Fenix had some bad review I read. The PSM looks like it will work better.
I couldn't find the PSM in the USA, but I got it pretty close to the same price overseas even with shipping. It looks like they only had a couple left in stock at PSM also.
I guess I ordered a roll of the Hudy tape for nothing...might have to resell it on ebay.

Ran mine with 4k. Medium grip. Smallest amount less steering than ball, but much better braking and more consistent over the 8min.

IMO Gear is easier to drive at a slightly higher level than ball.

Thanks Jay, Some guys on FB told me they run as low as 600cst which seems crazy light. I have 5 k in there now and it seems too thick for asphalt. Might try 3k and go from there.

I run mine on med-high grip asphalt with 800 cts and I feel it will be fine to decrease.
My modeling with gears : better braking but less on cornering
