I love this car. 6 races with it, 6 TQs with 5 victories and 1 second due to contact. Only changes from the kit setup were moving the rear wing from the standoff mount to the inside of the pod brace, and from 2 degrees of camber to 1.5 degrees of camber. On a high grip track, the car turns like a 1/12 scale.

10 F1 cars at The Gate last Saturday. 4 were Xrays. Tq and the win 2nd, 5th, and 8th. If everyone would show up on a given day we would have close to 20 cars.

What motor/esc are you guys running for indoor carpet? I have a killshot 21.5 at 68-70 degrees timing but it still seems a bit slow on top end.

Just picked one up yesterday, was very impressed. I was .2 faster than my CRC right out of the box, using the same equipment. The car just drives fast easily, didn't need to push it to get fast laps and was able to put 5 of my fastest laps back to back within .1 of each other.

I've been running the Trackstar 21.5 max timing with a 37/96 gear. In three races I have two seconds and a DNF due to a sensor wire popping out after a hard hit. I race with CarbonJoe and Mackin. The Trackstar doesn't have as much top end as the Team Scream motored car I drove but is solid everywhere else. I've no intention of changing motors at this point unless something amazing comes out before I start up again in the fall.

I'm running an almost 2 year old SchuurSpeed 21.5. I'll have to check the gearing and timing when I get home.

I've been running a Team Scream 21.5 with about 35 degrees of timing and 37/96. One thing if you haven't tried it is to move the rear wing to the inside of the rear pod. It gives it a little more steering. Speeder is a Hobbywing Just Stock.

Aren't the Tamiya TCS tires the 571 front and 572 rear? They certainly don't drive like 574 fronts.
