Hi all, I decaled up my xray kit bodyshell too well and now I don't want to run it

So now i need a new body... wanted to get the kit xray one again but nowhere in australia stocks it Can anybody tell me whether the Protoform F1-fourteen and Blitz F101 body fits?

I will get the blitz if i can get away with it though because the protoform costs $50!

Finished my X1 up at The Gate yesterday in spite of all the help. I didn't race it, but the car was really good right out of the box. Running the stock setup with Tamiya TCS tires and a Protoform 13 body. Used a Reedy Sonic motor geared 36/96. Carbon Joe raced his with no practice, set TQ and finished second. There are some very good F1 cars at The Gate. I couldn't be any happier with the car and look forward to race it.

Car went together easy. Moved tires, electronics, and body over from my WTF1. Tamiya F60 needed a little trimming to fit correctly at the back of the side links, but not too bad. Had to trim F60 front wing mount so I could use the kit front wing screws. Kit setup on it. Didn't have a chance to run it in practice, but only needed two clicks of sub trim to go straight. First run was first qualifier. Set TQ in 3rd round. Led main until 7:40 mark, when minor contact let second place by. Finished second by half a second.

Car is very easy to drive. Another fine XRay product.

I really like the Protoform 13 body. It fits the car real well. Used the F60 front wing and the Xray rear wing. The other F1 cars I've run always wanted to diff out, but this car didn't seem to do that at all. Really looking forward to racing this car. I think the bar has been raised with the X1.

Default First race

Rug racers yesterday, xray x1

Good first run with the car, played around with springs and oils, still looking for more steering. Q6 ended up finishing third so not bad.

So has anyone found a sweet spot for this car running on Asphalt?

This is my first F1 car so just trying to understand how to set them up - I am using Ride F1 tries - and I'm struggling for rear grip - I have widened the rear of the car, and changed the right high which is also helped - any other advice ??

Could I have my rear diff to tight or 2 loose ??

Cheers
Mike

I just checked Petit RC's Setup Sheet Database and found 2 setups for X1 on asphalt.
  1. January 20, 2015 - Francesco Martini - Asphalt Indoor High traction
  2. January 18, 2015 - Mark Wallin - Asphalt Outdoor Medium traction

Mark's car was handling very good, and he did well considering it was his first F1 race.
Video from that race is here http://youtu.be/7OQ0claOoAM

He is the blue car.

I Googled "XRA370700" and found no available kits. Ultimately, the best source about X1 availability (in the U.S.) will be RCAmerica
