In our club, we run the 21.5 but the cars aren't that easy to drive. I would honestly recommend that if you are starting out, a 25.5 would be a heck of a lot easier to start with. Also lower speed means less broken parts

What tires are they all running?

Most clubs/events in NA are 25.5. any motor on the approved list will do just fine. Rpm more important than torque, buy whatever one you can get local or good deal on. F1 is not a motor class. Save some cash, it's all about being on the right tire. Pit Shimizu/CRC for carpet. Outdoors, depends on surface, follow what fast guys are using.

I need some advice. Will be running an X1 '19 after my Roche needed 3 rear axes on 2 race days.
My girlfriend had a few runs with my car and she really liked F1 (she started on October and is driving a TC and a Buggy)
So I was thinking of getting her a F1. A new '19 would be fairly expensive, but it's fun sharing our hobby.
A friend of mine just told me he'd give me his 2017 X1 for just 120€. The car shares lots of parts, but the expensive stuff differs a lot. (Like rear Bulkheads and Chassis)
Would you rectmmend for her to start with the '17 car? I think the deals nearly a no brainer, but I really like to share the same Generation Cary because it's easier to make setup choices and less spares to have. But on the other hand....the price

A 17 car is basically the same setup wise in options that you can get (for the most part) but it wouldnít be as fast as a 19 with the newer narrower chassis. But itís still a great car for a beginner

Thanks, the track Ill be running is a medium grip bumpy asphalt so the car needs to have a basic, good setup. The driver has a huge impact at this track, so yea...I dont even think it will be that much slower....

Default X-ray x1 independent rear wing mount

Has anybody tried the rear wing mount? On X-ray web site it says it fits the 2019 model. Has anybody tried to fit it on earlier models? Thanks

I am able to fit it on a TAMIYA so I am sure it should fit on earlier models. I think my buddy fitted on on his Xray X1 2016

As far as I can see, the rear wing mount from RC Carbon is a direct fit for X1 '15 to '19. Taking this information from GripworksRC who has 2 in stock. RC Carbon has some pictures of it installed.
