Hi, I wonder if this has been mentioned in this form or not. Recently I found there is a newer version of XRAY X1 gear diff set. May I know what the difference is between the former one and this V2 version? Much thanks!

He is asking about the V2 designation. I am curious as to what are the differences too since I got one of the first gear diffs to hit the states and it is not a V2.

There hasn't been anything mentioned at XRAY website about this V2 product. To me, this should be an upgrade or some kind of modifications on the former version. I tried to consult my LHS but none of the people there could give me an answer or they preferred not to give me an answer. Email has been sent for clarification to Teamxray and is waiting for the reply.

I did turn to some of the experienced F1 drivers at my region and they shared with me their thoughts of this V2 product when compared with the former one. Yet none of these thoughts are being confirmed. I find this very interesting at the moment.

Hah, I already received my kit last night and a friend got his over a week ago. Maybe I didn't notice this before but now there is a "hard graphite" chassis option available that is supposedly stiffer than the aluminum flex.

Jan Mathiesky stated on FB:
Hi guys
There are changes in material and production process of the axel (sic).

Maybe to cure leaks?

Or to strengthen, seen some broken axles at the diff side.

I got a reply from team xray

Thank you for your email and your interest in XRAY products. The update includes only change of the material and production process of the axle. There were no changes in dimensions nor o-rings.

Halfway thru the build on my X1 '19. Looks like inline option won't work unless you get an LCG shorty (18.5mm height) which is unfortunate. I'll be building it using the aluminum servo brace mount option.
