It looks to me that the Tamiya 104 body will fit......as long as you leave the body intact and do not put the side pods on......the protoform bodies look as tho they will fit aswell.....I plan on trying the protoform thirteen with the tamiya f60 front and rear wings.....I hope it works.......btw......hell yeah....finally.........xray f1........now we just need an xray mini and I'll be all set

aussierevo 12-16-2014 09:58 PM

pricing in Australia is $479.00.....thanks but no thanks.

I just confirmed with Mr. Hudy that our PROTOform F1 bodies do fit the X1 "perfectly".

Where did you get this info from? Last I heard the importer (Ari) still doesn't have a price

I would say that's the highly inflated brand new I will sting the people with more money than sence and must have it right away price.

If it's not, then I hope they don't complain when everyone buys from Hong Kong or america.
The dollar has dropped, I expect it won't be cheap, but that's crazy

Good to know! I was worried that the X1 would have it's own specific body.

Xray's F1 is on target with the layout, I've always preferred having the battery going across the chassis instead of inline. My F103 with a shorty worked wonders on asphalt.

The rear side to side pitching damper needs to go. Impossible to build consistently and raises the cost of the kit. Xray should of used side damper tubes from their 1/12th series instead. They'll probably offer it as an upgrade. lol.

Nothing really stands out. I would say the only thing you're really paying for is two different battery layouts.

Agree with that. No doubt the quality and plastics will be good... but really, 7 individual shims to set the front ride height? Have fun with that...

 I already have a Tamiya damper ready for install if I get this kit. :D

I'm almost tempted to wait till the X1'16. :ha:

Nonetheless it's a great looking kit. Since this kit is all about adjustability to enhance its performance in every condition. Why didn't they offer various servo postions? Having the option of moving the servo forward i.e remove the bell crank system for a forward direct system. Will this chassis be able to run 200 mm ?

In Europe it's €275, so about $420,-

It looks like it's going to be around £200 in the UK, which directly is $384aus
So it looks like it will be cheaper in the UK than most places except the far east

Hopefully Tamiya front wings fit since the Included xray one isn't US legal.

Martin confirmed that Tamiya front wings are a direct bolt on for rules that require a hard front wing. Its possible that Xray will release a full molded front wing some time down the road as well.

That's retarded......why would they not use the same bolt pattern as Tamiya.....and everyone else.........well there goes a crap tun of wing options....( slapping forehead with hand ) Bad Martin! BAD!!!!

So the kit is not legal in the US because of a bolt pattern? Lol

oh Yeah I'm still gettin' one
Very early in the morning, misread direct for different.... My mistake. Good Martin! GOOD!!
