Default Faskolor- I am getting mad!

I was trying to paint faskolour with brush (not air brush, ordinary brush). The colour was soooooo thin and sooooo uneven, it was like it was not designed for lexan bodies since the paint simply wont stay on the lexan! What am i supposed to do?please i am getting pretty mad .....

not 100% sure but I believe that stuff is made to be used in an airbrush and that is why you are having the trouble you are having

this thread should be in the painting section

but since I already posted to it.... sounds like you did not wash the inside of the body very well or you didn't scuff it if the paint won't stick. If your issue is that the paint is thin when brushed in, well you're right it is. You need patience to brush a body. Just like when spraying, your first coat should be thin/light. Let that dry thouroghly (30 min+). The next coat you should brush in at a different angle to get good coverage, again, let it dry well and do it again until you get the coverage you want.

Hope this helps.

there is no good paint for brushing lexan. your supose to use a spray can or an airbrush.. faskolor is made for air brushes... i would go buy some pactra spray paint.... and clean the body with either windex or 409.. onece it is clean, do not touch it.. even finger print oils will make the paint funny... you can also use dawn dish soap..

I have used Faskoluor with a brush but you must scuff with wet and dry or sandpaper first.

Thanks. Nice to hear that someone likes it. I've been getting more of the "you suck, Xray rules!" kind of replies.

I don't have any trouble with Faskolor. But I use airbrush and only use pencils to touch up scratches.
And I only use the solid colors. No metallic or pearl for me.
Metallic should never be brushed anyway, the brush orients the metallic flakes so you get lines in the paint.

I had the same problem at first, but my friend told me that you have to let it dry untill the inside of the body looks dull.to speed up the process you can use a hair dryer in-between coats.-Hope this helps
