Default hobbywing

Where are you finding the hobbywing for $72? Falcon Sekido show's them for that price but also show's them unavailable.

I bought that $72 and they sent me a v3.1 instead. probably sold out. seriously though. stick to roar approved as best you can. not sure if the turnigy is, but it will allow you to run your car at more places and improve odds/price of selling if you dont like the class.

Spend the extra 25 bucks for piece of mind insurance. Some goes bad? No problem send it back to la. Not sure if falcon has an ebay store, but if you order from hobbypartz they won't warranty it. Shoot them an email they tend to get in quick

I personally use a Tekin RS with a 2s LiFe pack but a few people I race with use Hobbywing, Orion and LRP ESCs with no issues. They all seem to work well but all are on the large side (about the same footprint as my Tekin and pack because you still need to find space for those large capacitors).

Ya I was thinking of just giving in and going with a 2s esc. I use tekin in all my other cars so I might just give in and run the rs gen 2 and just have a receiver pack. After all this work and I might go back to the original way :P

It was a no brainer for me. I had the ESC and an extra charger so for less than $20 I can run 1S and still have room on my R12 chassis.

can you post a pic of your set up? I'm curious to see how you set it up with that much room to spare

VTX1 - 2 time ROAR Nats winner in 2012, no booster needed, small footprint, easy to use program card, great service available -- its a hidden treasure.

Ya, i was looking at those actually and they aren't a horrible price either. But a guy just made me a deal on a 1 weekend use hobbywing 1s v2.1 esc so hopefully he actually follows thru and sells it to me. We shall see. Otherwise I might try to find a used viper. I like the way they look. I do have a viper 13.5 motor in the car that I want to install this in as well.
