Default Question on the tamiya tl-01, TC3 and the DP-S15

I was wondering which one was best for the price .. my friend is willing to sell me his tamiya tl-01 with everything you need plus a supra body for 80-100 dollars .. in "OK" condition. I was thinking of a TC3 also ... but the DP-S15's are almost impossible to resist. Just thinking on the long run, which one would be the best choice? I'm a noob to r/c too.. well not THAT noob. but noob compared to those guys that literally live at the hobby store.
oh and i'm a drift racer XD so which one would be the best for drifting on the long run .. and in a affordable budget. (which is about $100-300 U.S dollars)
Can somebody tell me what are some good upgrades for the car that's best? (upgrades based on drifting)

hey,

probably your best bet, whilst the tl01 is cheap, would be the tc3...

its a better car, more parts support as its newer and its a good base for drifting!

the main upgrades would be drift tires, aluminium suspension parts, spring sets and gears to get your ratio's right. keep in mind u'll need batteries and motors (stock is the best for drifting, 27t rebuildable, motors like p2k2 or mvp or trinity monster horsepower)

u might like to check out the yokomo drift cars though. they sell a ready to run package for around $300 or so i think? could be wrong... but its purpose built to drift

hope this helps
