Just wondering what's the cheapest set-up baord that gets the job done. I've seen the Hudy and itegy ones, but which to get? Also is this a kinda item needed to buy later on or worth it now.

note i'm saving for either this or a PT or a comme lathe.

Hey I noticed that your from Van. Do you know anyshops in Van that carry schumacher part for the MI2. Also looking for Tamiya TRF shocks. The Shaver shop on the island kinda sucks. Oh and one more thing rc_square24 Are you comming to the throphy race in Vic. on July 9, 10.

For a cheap very good setup board go to either of the Big Box stores...i.e. Lowes or HD...
Ask if the have a good size scrap piece of 3/4" MDF this will work great for a set-up board as it is very flat and should only cost you like 2-3 bucks...But do not get it wet i.e. set your drinks on it...I would use some sort of polyurathane sealer first just to keep those peasky bubbles from accuring or be creative and paint a couple thin coats of paint...but you will still need to seal it... Other wise you will be very unhappy with it.
Save your money for a PT as they are very expensive now...The Lathe you can pay some one a couple bucks or buy some one a coke at the track to cut yours for you for now until you can save up again.
I use this board as many tracks pit spaces are not level or even kind of level and I like to setup on a level surface.

I am all for making things. Personally I purchased on this piece because the quality was nice.

It's not bad and uses the same board Mr.Shookie linked to.

Here is a pic. It's around 120 bucks. The picture doesn't show the caster gauge attachment or the clear plexi toe gauge which sits on top of the wheel attachments.

That would work as well, just bleach it first....Don't want anyone getting E-coli infection from the transfer to your Pro 4. LOL
As far as setup systems goes...I like the integy one...It has it all and it does it right...The board might be over kill but I am a little AR when it comes to making things percise.

bought the Integy v.1 set up system used on e-bay. It was around $57 shipped but did not include the set up board. It is different than the one pictured above. I will let you know what I think once I have started using it. I have access to a hudy system also so I will try to see what degree of accuracy I find between my integy and my buds hudy. I dont know which model the hudy it is, but I'll check.

before I got the Hudy Executive set-up system.
I used a glass kitchen cutting board. only $5.00 from Ross or Marshalls.
the new Integy set-up system looks nice too.
