Seems that the race is getting more attention
Here are the race info:
http://www.waigohobby.com/race/2005reedy/index.html

For participants of the invitational class (Reedy format), the list is as below:-
Masami Hirosaka (From Japan/Yokomo)
Takashi Kato (From Japan/Yokomo)
Barry Baker (From USA)
Nicholas Lee (From Singapore)
Paphon Chanyasak >>> Benz (From Thailand)
Hideo Kitazawa (From Japan/Futaba)
Atsushi Hara (From Japan/Team Hot Body)
Surikarn (From Thailand/Team Hot Body)
Satoshi Maezumi (From Japan/Tamiya)
Kiyo Suzuki (From Japan/Tamiya)
Naoya Kitagawa (From Japan/Yokomo)
Jilles Groskamp (From Finland/X-Ray)
Andy Lam (From Canada/Associated)
Derek Yuen (HK / Yokomo)
Alan Yau (HK / Yokomo)
Wong Kam Cheong (HK / HPI)
Tse Kwok Cheong (HK / Yokomo)
Samuel Chiu (HK / Yokomo)
To Chi Kai (HK / Tamiya)
William Lee (HK / Associated)
Hung Tze Shing (HK / Yokomo)
Chau Man (HK / XRay)
Wu Wai Sing (HK / XRay)
Gary Cheng (HK / Yokomo)

Certainly not a list as big as the US Reedy race. But some of the very best are here

The locals in the invitational have gone thru 2 qualifying races here in HK for getting a place. This is the first time the Reedy format is raced in HK. It will certainly be exciting!

BTW... the hobby shops are off the hook here...so much stuff in so little space and inexpensive....lets just say.....Moduale and reciever...less then 150.00$ and its synthesized....
Barry, there have been a number of big races in this mall over the past few years. It did attracted a huge crowd to stay in the mall everytime to see how rc cars are raced. The mall is also suppotive to our hobby and races because these events do bring alot of people to the mall and spend there!

Holy Shhhh .... ive been out for a while! if i had known reedy was gonna be in HK i would have seriously considered flying in. Manila is just an hour and a half plane ride. darn! oh well, there's always next year.

Barry: the shops in HK are really amazing and cheap! and stuff they have will make you go nuts! hopefully you leave some stuff on the shelves for the locals. HAHAHA would be nice to know what ends up in a world class rc driver's shopping bag after a day at the RC shops.
