Yes Tamiya bodies are beautiful, abd for sure when I finally retire my Mission it will have a Tamiya Ferrari 360 modena body mounted on it when it hit's the shelf, but while it still races the Trinity Y asphalt stratus stays!!!!

Scale size bodies do perform somewhat like the real ones. Dale Epp from Protoform has had bodies tested in wind tunnels. Many Nascar teams ask him about what to do for better aero package. His bodies seem to work just like the real Nascar ones on PanCars.

Tamiya bodies are probably the best most realistic looking bodies around. They are also some of the heaviest around as well. Most cars want to loose weight and don't want the body to be heavy as it would be more top heavy. Most racers run the Stratus body because no matters who seems to make them they still seem to be the best working for touring.

I guess the reason why Tamiya bodies are not allowed is because of the following:
1. Tamiya bodies are mostly GT class bodies and are not touring car bodies. GT has 2 doors and Touring Car has 4 doors.
2. The wings are molded to that of the real cars and not within the specs of the IFMAR or ROAR rules.
3. It is the most beautiful body around ....... 36-24-32. Like the late marilyn monroe

I like Tamiya bodies as well. Its shape & contour are probably the best of its kind compared to other brands. Among all Tamiya bodies what I like best is the Ferrari Modena followed by the MRS Toyota. Beams Integra Type R also fits in with its realism and uniqueness.
