One more question on the brushed motors how does a normal 10t-14t motor compare to a double wind motor at the same 10t-14t power? Are the close or is double wound way better? Also are these considerably lower power compared to a brushless? Dow do all these compare?

single wind motors have more low end power and don't go as high rpm as double wind motors. double wind motors have less low end power as their power really comes in at higher rpms.
think of it this way - short tracks with short straightaways = single wind
long courses with long straightaways = double wind.

and from what I understand about brushed vs. brushless, it's like comparing apples to oranges as far as power output is concerned. its not as easy as saying a brushless 13.5t is twice as powerful as a 13.5t brushed.

I think im gonna go with the firebolt 15t hpi motor for now just as a start and see how that goes since it is pretty cheap online and i might give that gear stuff a try later just to sweeze as much power as i can out of it without going crazy. then later buy a better car to really have some fun with ha
