Ahh yes I was thinking about this backwards. The shims under the mount will raise the car back up. so if the tamiya are a .5mm shorter I could REMOVE some of that shim under the mount which I'd like to do. Does WCRC have that tamiya spring kit? It'd be a good tuning option to have in my bag.

BTW, CRC support is top notch. I had a couple of pod plates that were a bit out of tolerance and didn't fit in their rear axle bearing carrier. They are sending me out replacements, no questions asked. This is why I love doing business with small American run businesses.

Anyone question. Has anyone using the tamiya pre mounted tires notice a very loose press fit for the bearings? I can see the bearing actually moving in the molded recess for the bearing. It is allowing quite a bit of slop in steering geometry.

Thanks
Dave

Hello everyone, I just picked one of these up used and I am completely new to RC F1 so I've got a question about bodies.

Is there a decent Ferarri F1 body/wing set I can fit on this chassis?

This one should work.. I think its from the kit itself.. you may be able to get it in white if needed

Thank you for that I just bought a body and wing set and sent it to get the Ferrari livery painted on. Hopefully the painter will do the decals too but I'm just stoked I was able to find a proper Ferrari body. I can't wait to see what it looks like all finished

I may be a little naive when it comes to RC f1 but is that low profile sanwa servo for the laydown setup Actually strong enough?

That's pretty sweet considering the low cost of the servo. I'm going to have to pick one up.

This is the one you have?

Edit: well I think I have everything I need for this thing. I'm just not looking forward to assembling the f2012 body. I hear it's a bit tricky?

Nope. I have the SRG-HR. It sells for around $100. Faster than the one you show. Having said that, I believe the one you show will work as it is used by many in 1/12 cars. Both have the same size case.

I picked up a CRC WTF-1 and having an issue with the 2-56 button head screw. I'm having a problem finding a hex to work. Can someone recommend a hex set that would work with this car. The last car I built was an Associated T3, so it has been a long time.

Well any set of standard hex drivers should work. I recommend MIP drivers and quick release tips

2-56 screws use an .050 hex driver.

Probably on their way home from Denver. I would say they should be in the shop by Wed., but that is just a guess.
