Judging by the names looks like crc was the fastest three f1's in the final round of qualifying.

Mark - they are running better compound tires this year, doesn't take 3-4 laps to come up to temp like last year.
For such a new car the qualification results are awesome. Good job to Frank and the team ;-) Bring on the Snowbirds  |
Thanks for the nice words Mark.
Congratulations to Mario Ficco and Brian Wynn for such a fantastic debut for the new CRC F1 car. After Brian Wynn won all 4 rounds of qualifying to put the CRC F1 (dubbed the WTF1, Works Team F1) on pole, Mario went on to win the A-main with Brian second. In the final, Brian led the entire race with Mario chasing. On the last lap, a back marker sent Wynn into the wall and Mario was right there to take advantage. Mario took the victory with the new car that was just 10 days old when it won the largest F1 race in the US. A great 1-2 result for the new WTF1 from CRC. We are very busy getting the prototype into production form. Stay tuned for more details. |

thank you all for the kind words. brian wynn deserved to win the race, but got tangled with a back marker on the last lap, i was lucky enough to be there to take advantage. he drove great all weekend, and it was a shame to see him off to the side when i went by on the last lap.
as far as set up goes, the cars we were running were prototypes. there may still be some changes coming for the production version. i got my car the thursday before the race and it saw very limited track time before the IIC. this is a testament to franks design skills and vision. the car is beautiful, but it is a work in progress, and I'm sure that when the production version is released, it will be a capable, race winner right out of the box, just like its brothers, the gen x10se, and xti. for those of you who run f1, be patient, this car will be worth the wait. |
Here is a link to the first pictures of the new CRC F1 car the WTF1. Thanks to team CRC for allowing me to bring the pics to the public before anyone else :)
http://www.cambergain.com/post/63440...-the-brand-new Congrats to both Mario and Brian for running so well this past week at the IIC and to Mario for a much deserved win in F1! |
Car looks nice! What servo are they using? Will CRC also make a mount for conventional servos as well or just this tiny one?

I assume it's standard hardware, not metric? |
When the car goes in to production it will fit different servos. We were under a bit of a time crunch to get the car on the track for vegas.
Our goal is to make it all standard hardware like the other CRC cars. |

It's regrettable, all the other F1 are using metric parts.
