Great news. Is it going down on top of a sub floor, or just over the concrete?

Question about schedule/days ..

Last year's nats had the following schedule over 4 days (3/14-3/17)

Thursday- Practice
Friday- Practice + 2 Qualifiers
Saturday- Practice + 2 Qualifiers
Sunday- Mains

This years dates are over 5 days - Wed - Sunday

So is the Wed a pit setup day or is there some kind of practice going on?

In the past Wednesday is a practice day controlled by the track. From what I understand this year Wednesday and Thursday will both be RMT controlled practice.

It'll be nice to have the RMT there that early with the massive amount of pretech.

I have set up the official facebook page where I'll be posting info, pictures, sponsors, etc...

I have 60 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express blocked for the race. Its 79.99 a night. Make sure you call the front desk directly and ask for the Hobbytown rooms and rate.

402-505-8181

The hotel is the closest to the track less than a mile away.

I am really hoping to see 13.5 (super Stock) classes offered just like last year...

Let me think about my last time at Omaha for the Carpet Nats...
1) Broke my TC car two times on my first warm up laps for practice.
2) Had two NIMH batteries explode in pit opposite me.
3) Split pants while marshaling.
4) Lost wedding ring that was in a pocket of those same pants that I had thrown out.
5) Went dumpster diving for the ring...No luck!
6) Don't remember doing very well in my races.
7) Scheduled flight out was cancelled.
8) Rescheduled flight out was cancelled.
9) Actually got on another flight as a standby; but, was taken off the plane when a ticketed passenger arrived before takeoff. Thought I was safe when the plane door was closed; but, they opened it back up to let him on...and me off.
10) Unfortunately, my luggage went on the plane without me. I had literally everything packed.
11) Stayed overnight at an airport hotel. Room next to mine was obviously being used by a "working girl".
12) Wife was not very happy when I told her about losing the ring.

Yet, I had a wonderful time with my buds that week at the track! LOL
