Itís not a responsibility of ROAR to go out and buy every new ESC and test it on the market thats up to the manufacturer or distributer to submit it for approval. Like with the ORCA speedo EA knows it has been sent in for approval and approved just not updated on the list. Do you know if Hobbywing even sent that new ESC in to be tested yet????
Agreed ^^^^^^
I have posed these questions on the Hobbywing thread, and the FalconSEKIDO FB page. Problem is that the HW rep on this site keeps telling us that it is approved. In fact not long ago HW removed the disclaimer regarding the 3.1 1S esc which said (pending ROAR approval). I have yet to get a straight answer.
I suggest that any persons that have purchased this ESC too contact HW directly.....maybe they will take some action. You would think that this could have been a great event to showcase their ESC.

I contacted Hobbywing with a technical question about their 12.5 rotors and they responded on Wednesday Feb 5th with the following "Our tech is on vac until next week". I'm not sure if this individual Tech is responsible for their esc's as well but I thought I would post info here.

Guilty. I'm equal parts visionary and troll. ;-)

I made that post after the Black Diamond incident at IIC when CRC was trying to get $500 for speed controls, before Tekin came in and saved us all. It seemed like we were heading toward a slippery slope.

Anyway, fingers crossed that ROAR sorts out the list soon. I'm skipping the race this year unfortunately, have to save my vacation days for the twin girls arriving a few months later.

Best thing that ever happened to On road....Blinky class! Oval is starting to see the light too!!

Also just an FYI Rob King (Technical Director) Posted the poll on the ROAR forum this morning for the EXCOM to vote on the ORCA 3.3 software for VX and VX1 and also the VXX Speedo. He also said he was doing that from his phone while at the babershop.....so Hes working on it for all of us!

Is mod sedan minimum weight 1350 or 1380 for roar?

Good news Eric! Glad to hear!

FYI, modified class race results from the ROAR Carpet Nats will be used as a guideline for invitations for the 2014 Reedy TC Race of Champions Invitational class.

when they get done....

last year at horsham it was about 4 and dallas 2012 was about 3 and 11 I was only at the pavement nats in jackson 10 I skipped both 09 was cleveland and about 4 08 at ohama it was about 5 as they had 300 entries. 07 was detroit and that was about 5 and 06 was stockton about 4 and 05 was west haven and that was about 6pm. sorry I can't got back much futher then that. it's usually around 4 or 5 with trophy pres and all, remember it's trip a mains and sometimes they put 30 minutes between "A"s if they don't have enough mains. I doubt that will be a issue with ohama. even though I won't be there.
