Also i'm looking for another T4 roller chassis to replace my T3 2012 chassis. it would be a lot nicer and easier to tune 2 cars with same chassis.

Always run a spool on asphalt for traction and stability. Then work the rest of the setup to get it to steer. If you drop your springs and oil to what I'm running you'll have loads more grip and steering so you won't need a front diff.

Even if I run 2.5million in the front the lap times end up being the same as a spool, as the increased steering into the corner is countered by the reduced traction out of a corner.
Anything less than 2.5million and the exit traction is going to drop like a stone.
A spool should certainly be a lot more stable, which if I recall was one of your original issues
If nothing else, the spool is lighter so should spin up quicker

If you go with Dales setup, try it as is but with your preffered diff, then swap it out udring the race day for a spool and see what happens.

My conclusions exactly after some trial sessions too... but the "feel" of the turn-in is so much more natural with a stiff diff than with a spool...

In my experience it was hard to get the car to have enough turn in without breaking the rear end loose with a spool. So I switched to the 2.5mil diff in front. The little bit of exit traction you loose is cancelled out by the increase in turn in and mid corner traction/rotation. While both resulted in pretty much the same lap time it was far easier to drive the car with the diff in front. As stated before a much more natural feel.

Hi, Skiddins.
I agree fully with the way you discribed it.
This make me thinking that we must seek a solution that give the possibillity
corner in behave like a diff and corner out as a spool.
I hope somebody can do the engineering for us.

Regards

Ed

I ran my T4 in the VTA class for the first time last night, (I'm pretty new to onroad). Anyways I'm running the stock carpet setup. The car to me felt really lazy or sluggish. It could also use a little more steering. So looking for some advice on where to start adjusting. BTW I did have to add 3.4 oz of weight to the car, which I had a hard time finding real estate for that weight.

There is an auction for an Xray T4 14' for sale.

Any parts I should order if I decided to go this route?

Cheers.
