Yep, I used pop bottles to practice on too. I always use a hair dryer. The last body I painted, I actually raced with it the same day as painting... Not something I like to do, but got lazy earlier that week and didn't paint it. I didn't have any problems with it, mostly because I trimmed this body before painting. Didn't have to worry about scratching all the paint off then.

If you want to do a fade, i would suggest practicing on a paper plate. It helps you get control & knowledge about what th epaint does. It really helped me, and my first airbrush body turned out ok.

That's a real good idea. Fades are pretty easy after you do them a few times.

Yeah, But it is a basic skill that you have to learn A fade is the basis of almost every airbrush scheme. Flames, ect...

Those flames are all "mini fades"

just like my body... it's got a "splash" on the front, and it's yellow with a little orange around the edges.

Losi actually make 2 Stratus bodies, the 2 door coupe included with the XXX-S and a traditional 4 door sedan.

This was done with a rattle can, but it made me really want to get an air brush. Have an air brush now, and did another body using it and a can of propellant. I just need to get a compressor.
