I didn't know I needed associated arms. sucks because no one locally will have them. Oh well I guess I'll start the build and if I have the arm issue I'll wait until I can get associated arms.

I'm sure in the end it'll be all worth it.

Default sweetness

I finished building up the rest of my Lightning car last night. Aside from the one hiccup with the mismatched front arms, everything else about the build was really sweet. The graphite bits and the alloy parts are super nice, and I especially like the O-rings that cushion the diff rings. Its first test and tune outing is planned for this weekend. Fingers crossed that the thing will drive as good as it looks and feels.

Guys if you are in North America and are having issues with the front Arms VBC is aware of the issue, and the North America Importer APS Racing is setup to address the issue. Contact Annie Yu and she will help you out with a replacement set. they have been great to work with and have already helped the couple guy's we sold kit to that have had the same issue. great car, and great support equals faster lap times

Hi JB
by putting the lipo in transverse position..it will give you rear weight tranfer for more steering ..like TC
inline lipo make the car drive more smoother steering

Default 1st run

In a word,......terrific. Very smooth and yet very aggressive too. My only significant changes from the recommended setup sheet that comes in the box were that I used 40 wt oil in the center shock in combination with a med-soft spring, red shur-lube in the tubes, and the thicker of the two caster shims in front of the caster blocks. Aside from those few changes, the rest was per the recommended starting point setup sheet. I chose dbl pink front and magenta rear SMC (just like Jaco) tires and I'm very happy to report that the car does indeed run just as good as it looks.
