im just now learning about these kits. what speeds can be achieved? what fdr gearing can be achieved. i currently have an xray t3 but that thing isn't equipped for my stupidity. lol 2.5t motor is to much for its drive train. does anyone have any compaints about the serpent?

You'll get 100km/h out of the 747e easily. Much more on 3s and the right gearing. No complaints from me on any serpent product. Quality is top notch. It has a nitro transmission mainly and so much stronger than that T3.

Yes. 540 size motors work fine as well but do not handle 3s well and also get very hot when geared up and boosted. I run a 5.5t in mine on 2s and that's about as low a turn brushless 540 as I'd dare go on this car. A 550 on 3s would be better as others have done.

I don't run 550. I run a 5.5t 540 on 2s. Plenty quick enough!

Just use fibreglass tape like any other electric touring car.

Lol I use the hudy lipo tape . But the bolt is directly in the way of my tape going through the little slot

I ended up with a 4 pole 4700 motor. On 4s lolol

Seems strange. No issues on my car! The car must weigh an absolute tonne with a 4s pack!! A bit overkill.
