+1 on that I have been told that by racers that do a lot of product testing. In blinky class 40c is perfect.

The Gens Ace batteries are really underrated imho. Feel just as good as my Orion, HK, and a few other batteries I have tested. I don't like bringing a charger to the track and balance charge every time so I bought 4x Gen Ace 65c 5000mah specifically for VTA and they have been flawless (paid just about the same as what 1 of the more expensive lipos).

If you are on a budget, take a good hard look at them.

I ended up buying a Trinity Sting VTA pack. I got it for a decent price here. Ill give some feedback once I run it a few times and give it a break in.

I have been useing sky lipos from hobbypartz.com. very good power thought out the hole pack. But I am very limited on battery selection with my jrxs type -r. So I went with the 4000 40c pack. It good enough. But hobby partz is hard to keep any of them in stock

He should have some n stock this week for the southern nats this coming weekend. They are the best VTA packs out there. They are about $60 bucks, but they have a ton of punch and last forever if you treat them right. I have a pack that is about a year old this week from last years nats and the IR is still great. I think it is still about 1.9 per cell. It was the only pack I used race after race. So it's probably had well into the hundreds of cycles and it still felt like new. Give them a try I think you will be more then happy with them.

EAM, without a doubt the best battery on the market imo. I have 4 of the 5000 packs, use them in VTA & USGT. All of them are over a year old and still charge / balance / perform like new.

I've run both the Trinity packs including the sting for over a year. I've got the new CRC coming Friday.Have not had a problem with any of them.

http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?...me=7.4V%205000

Looks like SMC will have some 5000 60C batteries soon for only $33! I run SMC 7200 in 17.5 and USGT and they are great. I'm not sure if they are ROAR legal yet, but seeing that they have other ROAR legal batteries, I don't see why they wouldn't be sent and approved in the future if not already.

EDIT: USVTA does not need to be ROAR approved. However if you wanted to use them in another class they may not be legal for it. (Like USGT, but I doubt many people would care if someone ran this pack in USGT at a club race.)

I shot them a message about this and was advised that they will not be sending these in at first for ROAR approval

see that now. Got mixed up as the USGT rules require ROAR lipos. Thanks for clearing that up!

For the two days that I ran it before I got out of the hobby, I noticed a big difference. It was very jumpy and deff way more responsive then the CRC or Orion I ran previously.
