Default Reedy 19 turn Quad Mag Comm Size

Anyone know how small you can go on the comm before it's done?

Usually .310 inches is the cutoff. You can go down to .300, but thats pretty much playing with fire.

i cut down to ~0.265" it does get a little dangerous the last 2 cuts or so... but the motor is REALLY fast with a small comm and the right brush/spring...

Thats for a standard size com. The reedy quad mag has a mid sized com wich is larger in dia to the standard one.

Thanks korey.... I have a few of them and they keep getting better. I have yet to spit a comm , but was curious as to how low they go before they do.

310 is as low as you can go, but I would not do that with a race motor.....315 is the safe bet for a race motor....

A new one starts out a .350.....a standard comm starts out at .300....270 is the cutoff for a race motor....though some go to .265..
