Default Xray Progressive Spring good?

Anybody have experience with progressive spring? Is it better then the standard spring? On what kind of track should be use the progressive spring?

Are we talking T3 long shocks or T4 short shocks?

On the T4 the 2.5-2.8 progressives are good on dry tarmac. The 2.3-2.6 progressives are good on wet/damp tarmac.

Linear springs for carpet.
