Default Best TC Motors (13.5t, 10.5t, mod)

As per title really, who has the best motor around for all round performance, at the moment i have run dynamite platinum series 17.5t in a mi5 but having heating issues when cranking up the timing, but the 13.5t was really good in a 12th pan car with no over heating issues whatsoever.

I Have heard this is a similar story with the reedy sonic mach 2, great in f1 and pan but as soon as you stick it in a TC it starts to struggle.

So whos got the best motor? im tor

Trinity D3.5 motors are good but the 17.5 is banned by ROAR. Tracks are following suit. Unsure about the 10.5. Others will say that their motor of choice is the best one while others have their own opinion. And the beat goes on....

Yeah ive heard a lot about the Trinity stuff.

Im british so we have the BRCA to contend with instead of ROAR but i think the trinity killshot and d3.5 is on the approved list.

i dont mind people saying what they feel is the best, helps build up a bigger picture really.

If it doesn't have to be on the list, get one of the outlaw d35's that's wound with the fat blue wire. Or the outlaw Novak or Murffdogg. Or better yet, the Corally motor will smash them all.

Get one from the lastest version of your preferred brand and try to find the sweet spot of it.
Then the difference in speed will be more or less marginal when you run them on there specific sweet spot. I'm running the LRP X12/20 and the Reedy. We just started to change out the X12 with X20 and I have to say they are faster, but not on their sweet spot right now.
Again get one you like and find the sweet spot and you will be happy with it.

Ah yea the Corally reds yea i know the one now.

I am thinking at the moment going with possibly the Tekin Redline Gen 2, Vampire bloodline Type AB or the Reedy Mach 2

or maybe even Hacker Skalar10 they look different or Viper RC Solutions

I am surprised you think Reedy mach 2 is no good in touring as me and the other guy running it in my local 10.5 class have the two fastest cars on the track, straight speed not lap time.
Some of the other motors that run with us:
D3.5 10.5
Novak Vulcan outlaw 10.5

The reedy's I have heard of being slow are shimmed too tight from the factory.

Ah is that what it was? i read it in the 21.5t motor thread about the reedys being slow and getting rather too hot.

Just seen the Atomik RC Red motors, shame they dont have a UK distributor or on the BRCA list

Vampire Bloodlines Type AB looks cool as well.

The Vulcan incorporates all the goodies(for free) that are not included in the ballistic motors.... Making the ballistic motors as fast as the Vulcan is very expensive... Good luck with your search...
