I wonder if they will go with the lower shock towers and shorty shocks like most newer cars coming out! Also does anybody know if the TRF Works Damper set for M chassis work on the T4 and other shorty shock cars?

Why don't you buy another manufacturers car and stopping your bitching.

Every other post you seem to be moaning about something!

It is what he does in every thread about a trf product. Then he wants everyone to go to 5280 raceway. The other guys that race there should tell this guy to STFU, i am never taking my TRFs to race there, he is probably worse in person.

I'm a potential buyer just like anybody else. I currently own 5 TRF sedans. That could easily become 6. One thing that will factor into my decision is whether or not they address the issues I had with the 417 which includes its very mediocre gear diff.

It's just some honesty from someone that competes at a high level and expects certain things from his equipment. Like a diff that doesn't leak. If that hurts your feelings, well... too bad.

It hurts my feelings

The gear diff is seriously fine if you use kyosho orings and better shims, BUT I agree you shouldn't have to do that. I also agree that my best tamiya gear diff is still worse than any xray gear diff.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing this car. I'm a bit suspicious of the translation about the suspension components being different, I think it may just be referring to the use of the shorter shocks from the TB04. Time will tell!

Must admit i don't like the fact that i have to use kyosho orings for them to be their best and also that the arms need sanding for correct fit. But i love the car.

Can I ask how people can say that a diff is great/good/fine, and then mention that they have had to fit someone else's O-rings to make it so.
If parts have had to be changed from standard surely there is an issue

I'm interested to see what they do with the next car as out of the small group of friends who race against eachother, two have Tamiya 417v5's

You say that but Yokomo team guys use the same orings in their diffs too and maybe other manufacturers do the same and OEM them who knows, who cares anyway lets get back on topic TRF418

Maybe ? Guess we will just have to wait until the end of September to find out.....

Actually, he is one of the nicest people you will meet in RC...Everyone at 5280 goes out of their way to help people and help drivers improve. Like other have said...the gear diff is something that needs to be improved and if you cannot see that then either you are not being objective or do not have enough experience to know the difference. Either way...why don't you come on down to 5280 and we can see just how fast you are.

While you are here I can help you clean the diff oil spray from the inside of the body!
