my team mate runs an old lrp vector, runs cool but not as quick.

Nathan and chris both run reedys and they are doing alright at 3.8 fdr and 25 degree timing there motors are only reaching 60 degrees.

next I think im going to try the muchmore motor my hobby shop is getting them in next week so im keen to buy and try one.

ive got a speedpassion 17.5 mmm and I found it to be a bit slow on the top end.

all in all I think you should save and get a better motor as competition at precc is pretty tough!
What kind an size of track do you run on and what TC are running with your ORCA 21.5 motor? What do you have it geared? I am interested in trying a ORCA motor in my GT 21.5 car!

The ORCA 21.5 motors are fast! One of my locals has one and has been running it and loves it. He's got every 21.5 made I think testing them for an upcoming race.

Just got to wait for ROAR to finish the approval process up if it must be ROAR legal at your track.

Reedy Sonic 2. I love mine and I have definitely ran a handful of motors and I like those the best as far as responsiveness, reliability, and smoothness.

Today was able to test a few motors .
I ran the hobby wing & shuur speed with hpi X Patterns
My son ran the D3.5 & Novak Vulcan . with jaco tires
He ran a 11.9 with the D3.5 3.6fdr
Then ran in the 11.7s with the Novak 3.6fdr 40deg
I ran 12.3 with the hobbywing 3.46fdr(no top end )
Then ran the shuurspeed @ 11.7 also 3.8fdr/full timing
Both identical cars freshly rebuilt . (Xray 2012s)
But the problem is we r still both off the pace by .3
And he is running a reedy sonic v1. @ 3.8.......
Must say Novak looks if it has more available but with one day of running I do know it runs cool and consistent the entire run . the D3.5 fell off as run went .
Shuur speed did OK but didn't have the midrange that the Novak had but also ran cool

Is that in a touring car or f1? If it is for a tc what do you have it geared I have one i just bought an it was a dog in my TC. In a F1 they are smooth and fast but from what Ive seen they lack the grunt to move a TC!

Brian, I have only ran the trinity revtech 21.5 and as you know it has balls. There have been times where I'm motoring by you or chris down the straight but I cant catch you guys in turns. (Driver error only)

Last week Richard 417v5 tekin 17.5 and my ae 6.1 we dragged raced the whole straight and he beat me by couple feet. I wanna say I started to pull on top slightly due to my 3.44 vs 3.6?? But ran out of room. I still think my 21.5 was faster in my tc6 since it was all ball diff and 40 grams lighter. If funds allow ill try an orca when they get back in.

Justin, what track is that at? What is the size? Is it comparable to thunder rc. Our track here in Dallas is about the same size as thunder and our 17.5 sedans are running 11.7. So if these test your doing are at thunder then I have to step it up for the Southern nats coming up. I'm geared at a 4.05 with my thunder power and running 12.8 on our track.
