I want one just to have one. I have a TA05, nice car but Tamiya has abandoned the belt drive tub. I prefer this over the TA06 for 21.5 or 17.5 racing. Looking forward toward the build, but best set up not so much; )

Your right...i stand corrected...its 42.3 pitch. Ive always heard it and seen it referred to as metric 48. Learn something new all the time.

I think we just need to know the max tooth number for gearing. If i remember i believe the tb03 was in the upper 140s..and i could get to 3.50 pretty easy..just a tiny spur.

looking at it and i think it might run into problems fiting anything larger than a 50t 64p pinion. the hole doesn't look bit enough. gearing for 17.5 and 21.5 might be problematic

Dear anyone:

In fact i am looking to have a car "standalone" to run 13.5 blinky class, since TBevo6 has not confirmed then TB04 should be the choice.

But i want to know for the Tb03 users, the biggest spur gear could be used in case of 48 pitch.

Could somebody answer me, please?

Best regards

thinking of getting this one over the ta06 for bashing- however tower just raised their pre-order price from 309 to 361 - was planning on using a 50 off coupon... however the ta06 with the rs6 conversion looks sick - gotta hold out...

I am sure when this car is out longer someone will make a carbon fiber conversion for it. It's only a matter of time.

When I saw the $309 price I pre-ordered with the $50 off coupon code, so $259 and free shipping when it arrives in late October... Looking forward to building this and running it!

From the looks of it, the F/R gear cases did not change at all. This means the gear diff should fit the TB03/EVO5
