Still no stock on the pro anywhere.
Ran mine for the first time. Whisper quiet. Car is heavy compared to X-rays and other high end cars. I was able to hit same fast lap times as all fast guys with high end chassis. Qualified 4th and finished 3rd

I agree, read the thread and most people said its loud, but I found mine to be the same as my 417, running 64p gears, and mine is quicker then the trf car as well, but tb04 pro with all the hopups cost more then a 417, or 418 for that matter, but ordered a third one, and going to make it all anodized red, to go with my 2 blue ones.

The tb04 has been out of stock almost everywhere for a while. Even on tamiya usa it says tempory put of stock. Is there a slight chance that tamiya is revising the motor mounting to let us run blinky fdr's

Awesome! This is exactly what we need and at a great price too. How well does it support the motor?

So if you run a 37T 48dp (or 52T 64dp) pinion, what is the smallest spur that will mesh with it, and so what is the absolute-minimum FDR you can get the car to?

I love my tb04, selling all my tb03s, the car handles better, quicker then double carbon chassis, I did spend a lot on the car, but really not nessary, I was just going for the bling look, I have 3 of these now and they are all quick, 17.5t blinky, 21.5t, and mod, next upgrade will be 418 suspension and swaybars, also building one in all red.

64p, biggest pinion 52t and smallest spur it will mesh with is 72t, so basically a 52t pinion will not work with a 71t spur, you need 72t spur or bigger

So 3.46:1 would be the lowest you could go. Shame, still not low enough for my needs (17.5 Blinky outdoors) - would have been fun to dabble with one of these but I could only use it indoors.

Hopefully of Exotek will release more parts for this car, specially carbon chassis with upper deck.

We run around 3.8 for 17.5 blinky and temp at 170. You really need to go lower than 3.46?
