Good point. Could have used a wider one when I was just starting.

On a 12th scale it is very hard to break a suspension part. The foam bumper really is there to protect the carbon fiber chassis that can break or split.

True, they are hard to break, but it's definately possible, I've seen it happen a few times. Since there is room, and since the P-dub material is so light, the ultimate 12th scale bumper would protect the wheels too. Additionally, having the bumper go out to the corners also protects the body from excess movement or inverting during impact. Plus, if I'm racing, I want the corners to be strong to deflect me off of the racing rail if I ever hit one. I know for a fact that bumpers help with this aspect.

Larger(wider) 1/12th bumpers sound like a good idea for us rookies!!!
Personally, I would like to see the bumpers fit flush with the chassis on all models.
Maybe a recessed cut out is the answer.
But for know I'll just do it myself with ol' #11!!!!!!

By the way, I received my shipment today.
Thanks alot for the quick service!!!!

I bought a can of the STX traction compound and the entire contents of the (unopened) can slowly LEAKED out into my pit bag before I had a chance to use it ONCE!

Cans of traction compound generally dont like to be stored upside down, that sucks though.
