Default Touring car question

Is there any advantage to running double one ways? I have run a one way at the spur but never the front diff also.

There may have been years ago back when oneways were used but in todays touring cars i cant think of not one advantage to be competitive against the spool gear diff or gear diff gear diff combo

Not only that according to Roar the one-way is not allowed in competition.

Limited braking is one reason.

Default ROAR Rules

NolanP

I searched through the ROAR rules and see nothing about one-ways not allowed. Can you tell me where you see it is illegal?

If you run a one way on a spur, in an electric car where you depend on the motor for brakes, wouldn't that eliminate your braking altogether? You would need a separate brake system to slow down.

The adapter on the spur is split in two which allows the front to spin free when the brakes are applied. The rear works as normal when brakes are applied.

Oh ok. so if I understand correctly the front wheels are already free spinning when the brakes are applied. if this is true wouldn't a front one way be a mute point since they already free wheel independently from the rear?

No cause it allows the front tires to turn at 2 different speeds without diffing out
