Isn't the raceberry conversion for the tamiya, excluding the chassis and top deck actually using yokomo parts, from the photos i saw, it says yokomo on the belts? Don't hate i don't drive a Yokomo either :P
Yes, Yokomo center pulleys and motor mount but not the belts. 417 has a smaller diff pulley so I think they are using a spec r belt?

A bit surprised Team Xray driver Cerny isn't dominating Qualifying at his home track ?

From what I could recall about a week ago when I was in australia there was no special yokomo there. Ronald was running a std BD7 everything stock and Umino was there building another car and nothing looked different and after running both he ran his old car.

from my understanding they actually tried the car with lower towers, short shocks, and a few other trick toys at one ETS race but could not get it to work well.

Since Ronald got the TQ point, does he even need to win the event to wrap up ETS?

From what I read he can finish 3rd and marc can win and he would still have the championship.

They have a simple motorchecker, if they do not trust it the motor will be opened to be checked. The same counts for the ESC, if they do not trust it they can open it to see if different parts are used or other FET's are soldered.

In the past for the FDR they trusted the numbers on the pinion and spur together with the known internal ratio. If they do not trust it the gears and pulleys had to be counted.

Now ith this race they have a tool made by me to measure the FDR. Within a 500 rotations of the frontwheel it will measure the rotations of the motor.

Does the motor checker drive the motor using a external ESC?

Very cool FDR checker...

Its pretty amazing to see the difference between old and new tyres, look at the difference in corner speed between Yannic and Ronald's cars in that last video where Yannic was on new tyres and Ronald on 2nd or 3rd run
