Default Eletric Motor Maintenance - Help

Hi all,

I'm looking for charges, comm lathes and dyno to make eletric motors maintenance.

Can anybody help me with them? I don't know what to buy and have many doubts:

- Charge to run in and brake the motors
- Comm lathe - for Stock, 19T and modifieds
- Dyno (motor test and check)

thanks....

im not certain but i think if you bought a motor dyno it would do motor run in already so there would be no need for a seperate unit to run in..... i may be wrong though.

Team Much More has a Motor checker that will work for your motor break in, can be used to run the lathe and act as a simple dyno. As for a lathe, you can't beat the Fantom or the Hudy lathes. The Fantom is pretty expensive but I've used one and they're amazing how smooth they are.

Hello,
Here this will help,
For the money the APS Dyno charger will charge batteries, run a comm lathe and give you rpm and amp draw data.
For a comm lathe I suggest a Hudy, Cobra or Orion lathe but I would suggest you get someone who has done more than 50 comm cuts to show you how to do it right....You will be happy you did. I destroyed 15 comms and sold the lathe because I thought it was the problem...come to find out it was all me...
Hoep this helps.
Here is couple of links.

this is what I use.
Good suggestion Buy once and hurt only once....
You can check Ebay for deals but I have been finding that there are more crooks on there than real deal makers.
Just my $0.02

Hi Stephen,

thanks for your help, Iīll buy the Integy Auto Lathe, itīs like good and comes with the bit, very nice price.

About the dyno I'm thinking abou the Team Much More and Yokomo MMS, I think that the first one is better.
