Hi guys, new here!

What would be the better battery, The Reedy 7000mah or the Fantom 7200mah?

cheers!

Check the C rating of each battery. Check the size (dimensions) of each battery to see if they are right for you. Then go with the cheaper of the two.. 200mah is negligible IMO.

Never mind the C rating, try to see if you can find any online written reviews, or Youtube reviews etc.

I would have recommended SMC but the OP was trying to choose between the Reedy & Fantom.. but since SMC has been suggested I will give it a +1.

note: Marc Rheinard or Paul Lemieux would easily lap me with NiMh batteries.

buy the battery that u can have a discharge rate measurement. Pay the extra $5 bucks to get the reading. I know Fantom does this.

Buy the packs that have a HIGHER CHARGE RATE more then 1C like the SMC batteries (sting packs)!!

The Sting packs are the best on the market right now.

They have the low IR numbers that I haven't seen from other companies.

Funny how Trinity are also buying sting packs now and picking the best 5% and selling them for alot more money....LOL!

You have to to question the quality of the batteries that some companies are selling when they have to test their batteries to find the good ones. When you have your batteries manufactured by a reputable LiPo battery manufacturer, there are no bad ones. And definitely don't waste money on "battery testing".

Be wary of fancy names and marketing like "extreme" and "sting". C ratings and capacities can be exaggerated and plain incorrect. Choose a reputable brand that stands behind their product and will be there if you have questions or problems.

And look for facts. Someone saying one is better that the other doesn't mean anything unless they can tell you why.
